Last week I volunteered at the Best Friends Animal Society’s sanctuary in Utah with my youth group and I learned so much, not only from the wonderful people who work there but also from the animals themselves. One of the things that I found so amazing was that even with the amount of animals that reside in the sanctuary, each animals needs are meet as individuals. There are so many animals with special needs that are so carefully and thoughtfully taken care of it was so amazing to see.
This is Roxanne, she is a dog who lives at Best Friends that we were lucky enough to have as a sleepover dog. She is a pit-bull mix and was saved from a pound the day before she was set to be euthanized. She is the sweetest dog ever and had such a mellow disposition. She never once barked or growled even with five middle schoolers being very energetic around her for hours. All she wanted to do was lay in your lap and snuggle.
Also in this post I would like to personally thank Markiplier and all of those who donated to Best Friends in July’s charity live stream. It makes me feel so proud to be a part a community that can have such a positive impact on the world and that is so active in making the world a better place.
And last but not least I want to congratulate Mark for reaching 3 million subscribers on YouTube! Thank you for all the laughs, the scares, and the days you brightened. This past year has been really tough for me to get through but your videos really helped me cope and remember that things do get better. So once again, thank you and congratulations on 3 million subscribers!
